For Patients
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the lives of many people all over the world. For us and our practice, it posed a rather difficult question that we had to answer:
How can we keep going about our daily activity while making sure both our patients and staff are safe?
We strongly believed closing up shop even for a while was not a good option, given we’d be leaving a lot of people in our community without essential access to dental services, perhaps when they needed it most. So instead, we planned and adopted 4 measures to make sure Westside Dental Studio can keep its door open safely during the pandemic:
Actually, rigorous cleaning was already a part of our day-to-day activity. We disinfected our workspace extensively after every patient to make sure our environment is perfectly safe for everyone in need of our services.
Now, we’ve upped the game and instituted even more complex cleaning and disinfecting routines not just in the spaces for the procedures, but also in the waiting rooms and common areas.
We’ve invested in proper PPE equipment to make sure all Westside Dental Studio staff come to work in a safer environment. What’s more, we ask all our patients to wear a mask when they stop by our practice and keep it on up until they get on the dental chair. This helps keep both patients and our staff away from unnecessary risks.
We know protective equipment is not enough to keep everyone safe, which is why we’ve also adopted social distances rules in our practice. So don’t be offended if our usually friendly staff doesn’t come to greet you or shake your hand when you come for an appointment.
For all our safety, we are going to keep a distance, but you can rest assured they are still smiling at you from behind the masks!
Lastly, we’ve also felt the need to help our team understand how to deal with the potential risk of an infection.
We are dentists, not infectious disease specialists, so this refresher was highly beneficial and welcomed by the entire Westside Dental Studio team!
Our training included many different topics, including:
We completely understand if you don’t feel comfortable exposing yourself to the potential risks of the pandemic yet, and would prefer to wait. However, if you do need to see a dentist, you can rest assured that Westside Dental Studio has taken the right steps to ensure your safety.
